Somali Health Board, Somali Community Services, and Alnoor Center of Washington have partnered together to create the Somali Community Cultural Innovation Hub in South Seattle. The SCCIH will serve as a multigenerational health hub, cultural anchor and community center for Somalis in the face of gentrification and displacement. SCCIH purchased 81,000 SF portion of an existing building on MLK Jr Way, which was owned by Amara, another Seattle nonprofit organization. Edge assisted with the acquisition, budgeting, funding, and third party studies for this project.
